Black Hills Scoop Squad is a premium dog waste removal service in the BlackHills, SD area. Dog owners can sign up with Black Hills Scoop Squad on a weekly, twice a month, and monthly subscription basis. We also offer one time cleanups. Once signed up for service, Black Hills Scoop Squad will come to your property and remove the waste from your yard by double bagging it and placing it in your trash receptacle. You will receive a text upon arrival along with a closed gate photo text upon departure. Black Hills Scoop Squad takes the health and safety of families and their dogs very seriously and disinfects after every scoop. Black Hills Scoop Squad is flexible and allows you to sign up for monthly service easily and you can cancel at anytime with no contracts.
How can I know my dog is safe using Black Hills Scoop Squad?
Above all else, your dog's safety is our top priority at Black Hills Scoop Squad. To ensure the health of your dog is maintained, we use kennel-grade disinfectant to clean our shoes and our cleaning equipment after every house we stop at. This helps reduce the risk of sickness and viruses. Upon departure, we take a photo of your gate closed so you can rest easy knowing your dog is safely in your back yard.
Do I have to sign a contract to use Black Hills Scoop Squad?
Black Hills Scoop Squad has no contracts! You can start, pause, and cancel your subscription at any time. You can easily do this on our website or by calling in.
Is Black Hills Scoop Squad Licensed and Insured?
Yes, Black Hills Scoop Squad is fully licensed and insured to make sure your family, property and dogs are in safe care.
Do you provide waste removal year round?
Yes, we provide pooper scooper service year round. In the fall, you must maintain your yard and leaves so that we can see the waste. We will even scoop in the snow. If the snow is deep, we will pick up your waste the following week.
What is my responsibility as a client?
1. Your yard must be easily accessible.
2. Lawns should be cut on a regular basis without large amounts of leaves or debris. Autumn in the scooping industry is known as “poop camouflage season.” Please be mindful that we can only pick up what we can see.
3. Gates should be free of snow & Ice and unlocked when we arrive. If you provide us with gate codes, we will always lock up once we are done.
4. Aggressive dogs must be left indoors on scheduled service days.
How do you dispose of the dog waste?
After every cleanup, we will double bag the dog waste and place it inside your trash can. If there is no access to your trash can, we will place it next to your gate or garage door.
How am I billed for service?
When you sign up for service, you will be billed on a monthly basis on the 1st of every month. If you sign up in the middle of the month, your first month is pro-rated. Billing is done by credit or debit card through our Sweep N Go service. We do not accept cash or check for service.
If payment is not received before your first cleanup of the month you will be removed from the service schedule until payment is processed. Services billed for the month are non-refundable. If you choose to cancel, we are more than happy to clean for the remainder of the month for you if needed.
Are you able to clean the yard with my dog outside?
Yes, we can clean with your dog in the yard. If your dog is aggressive, we ask that you keep them inside. If your dog is let out and is aggressive with one of our team members, you will be given a warning and you may be dropped from our service route.
Can I request a service day or time of day?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of our business and the need to have efficient routes, you will placed on a day that works around your area. However, you will have the same day every week. Time of day can vary on the route, but you will receive a text notification when we are 30-60 minutes from your property.
Do I have to be home when you clean my yard?
No, you do not need to be home when we clean. We do ask that you have your gate unlocked and accessible and that no aggressive dogs are in the yard when we arrive. We will send you a photo of the gate after your service to ensure that your yard is secure.
What happens if my service day falls on a holiday?
If your service day falls on a holiday and we do not perform service on that day, we will skip that week’s cleanup and perform double doody the following week. You will still be charged due to 2 weeks of accumulated waste in the yard.

December 23-31 - We use the last week in December to give our families and techs a much needed break.
Do You disinfect your equipment?
Yes, after every service, we disinfect all our equipment and shoes with kennel grade disinfectant. This helps to prevent diseases such as parvo and other bacteria and viruses from spreading from house to house.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, we guarantee satisfaction. If you are not completely happy with our service on that day, we will come back to your residence and make it right. We strive to being the best in the pet waste removal.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Black Hills Scoop Squad typically works in inclement weather such as rain and cold, but if weather is too severe, there is a possibility we will not service on that day. If this happens, we will notify you that we will come on another day that week. If we have to skip service, we will perform double doody the next week and you will still be charge for the week missed because of the double accumulation of waste.
How will I know that my residence was serviced?
We hope you will notice a clean yard! Also, we send you a text before arriving. You will also receive a text after service with a photo of your gate closed to ensure that your dog is safely in the back yard.
Are your technicians background checked?
Yes, we do a background check on all our technicians so you can rest easy knowing you, your family, and your dogs are safe when your tech arrives. We hire quality individuals to service your yard and make your you are taken care of.
